Much of graphic design is considered ephemera, the origin of which—ephemeron—refers to the mayfly and its notoriously short lifespan. Our approach to design is driven by a desire to make the ephemeral less so: to extend the life and value of our work through thoughtfulness, functionality, and craft.

El Pípila
La Cocina / Schwartz and Architecture
February 2018–January 2019
El Pípila is a Bay Area business led by a trio of women: mother Guadalupe Guerrero and her two daughters. El Pípila opened in January, 2019 under the guidance of La Cocina SF, a non-profit organization whose mission is to “cultivate low-income food entrepreneurs as they formalize and grow their businesses by providing affordable commercial kitchen space, industry-specific technical assistance and access to market opportunities.”
Working with Schwartz and Architecture, we provided full pro bono design services to brand El Pípila. Our work includes brand positioning and design of the trademark, wordmark, environmental graphics, and interior and exterior signage.
EarthJustice
Trump (Moloch)
April 2017
We designed and published anti-Trump posters to mark the San Francisco March for Science in April, 2017. Following the event, we sold our screen printed posters at Christopher’s Books and ARCH in San Francisco with sales benefitting EarthJustice—as well as our favorite local independent bookstore and art supply store.
American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)
Planned Parenthood
Trump 24K Gold-Plated
September 2016–August 2017
We designed and published limited-edition anti-Trump posters prior to the 2016 national election. Sold through the Center for the Study of Political Graphics (CSPG) in Los Angeles, poster sales raised money for the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and CSPG.
California College of the Arts
Angie Wang & Mark Fox Graphic Design Scholarship
2010–2015
We successfully endowed a permanent scholarship for graphic design students at CCA. A five-year endeavor, the college awarded the first Angie Wang & Mark Fox Graphic Design Scholarship in November, 2016.
